Sun & Sand

Mommy, Daddy and I needed a summer break and traveled down to Grampa and Nana's house in Punta Gorda. We had eight great days all to ourselves. Our last trip was over a year ago when I was tiny so this time I played in the pool and sand and enjoyed the special time with Mommy and Daddy.

Being such a big boy on our flight down.

Building sand castles and enjoying every moment
in Venice Beach.

Kick, kick, kick.

Mommy taking her turn pushing my boat float in the ocean.

A Mattox family classic at Fisherman's Village.

The playground downtown was a great "dry" attraction.

The Imaginarium was so much fun. I saw all kinds of fish, reptiles and other critters. I also played with the hands-on exhibits and here I am filling my shopping cart with all the tomatoes I could get my hands on.

Perfecting my curve ball....

I got to swim and splash with Daddy every single day.

Our cute beachcomber collecting shells in Sanibel.

Mommy and me on our last night
which also happened to her birthday.

My First Campout

During an incredibly cool summer weekend my cousins came over for a campout. Brantley, Brianna and Braylee joined us for good old fashioned outdoor fun.

Its not a true campout without SMORES!

Goodnight.

Where's Sanders?

Well, I guess everyone was right...our lives have changed drastically since he started running. We spend a lot of time chasing him around and there's barely any time left for blog updates! So, here's a recap of Summer 2009.

Some of my favorite summer activities include
mowing, gardening and playing with family and friends.

Walking!

A few times now Sanders has stood up by himself in the middle of the room. And now the next "step"... he's walking! It's really kind of more like a run -- but he's made it across the room several times. Of course, once he starts, it's hard to get him to calm down. Whenever he falls down, he just laughs and gets right back up. That's our boy!

Easy does it... finding balance

and he's off and running...
He's so proud of himself.
