Road Trip '08

To take adavantage of the last days of Carmen's maternity leave and to get to spend a little time with Nana and Grampa, we took the week off and went to Florida. There were quite a lot of "firsts" on this trip, including Sanders first plane ride.
After a little explanation of the whole game plan, Sanders decided that maybe this wouldn't be as bad as he first thought...

In fact, he really enjoyed his first flight from Jackson to Fort Myers, via Charlotte.

He sang his ABC's...

Next, he took his first trip in Nana and Grampa's new Motorcoach. We all headed down to Key Largo for a little sun and relaxation.

No trip through the Everglades is complete until you've seem some alligators.

All was going well until Sanders realized how much driving we had in store. Being behind the wheel is hard work!

And no less scary when Daddy is driving.

Key Largo was worth the trip. We had beautiful weather and a peaceful view.

Mommy took her turn kayaking.

Sanders was less than excited about the lack of a tub in the Coach.

We quickly realized the Kitchen sink would work a lot better....

And Sanders certainly approved.

Can't get too much sun...

He just couldn't get away from that carrier, but he did like having fellow passengers up and walking around. It's much easier for people to jump on his every request.

Headed home.

Play Time

Sanders has started playing with toys and enjoying his play mat, which is really welcomed by us, as it gives us a few minutes when he doesn't have to be held. (And they say you can't spoil a baby. HA!)

Growing Up

Sanders is growing and growing. He's smiling a lot these days and starting to "talk". He has some cute expressions and sounds that we're picking up on...

And on another note: someone needs to explain to me how these clothes sizes work... He's 10 weeks old, but somehow needs clothes that say 6 months.
