Where's Sanders?

Well, I guess everyone was right...our lives have changed drastically since he started running. We spend a lot of time chasing him around and there's barely any time left for blog updates! So, here's a recap of Summer 2009.

Some of my favorite summer activities include
mowing, gardening and playing with family and friends.

Walking!

A few times now Sanders has stood up by himself in the middle of the room. And now the next "step"... he's walking! It's really kind of more like a run -- but he's made it across the room several times. Of course, once he starts, it's hard to get him to calm down. Whenever he falls down, he just laughs and gets right back up. That's our boy!

The Birthday Party

Sanders had a big time at his first birthday party. We were fortunate to have so many friends and family there to share the day.

Birthday Boy

A year sure goes by fast. It's pretty hard to comprehend that our little man is now 1. Everything about it has been a complete joy. And we're looking forward to many more.

Sanders celebrated his actual birthday with Nana and Grampa at Camp. There may have been a little hesitation in the beginning, but once that finger went it, Sanders was all about some icing!
(I think he gets that from his Dada!)

You may think he's playing peak-a-boo, but really he's just watching me devour my piece of cake across the table. Probably not the prettiest sight.

And more celebrating at school.... He confirmed, "Yes, the orange tastes just as good as the blue", but he couldn't figure out why the cake was so small this time.
